This is a reminder that we have a special schedule today. School begins at 8:15am - we DO NOT have Late Start. Schools ends at 1:30pm (Early Out).
This evening is Back-to-School Night. Your student has filled out their class locator card for you and there is a map on the back. Please bring this with you so you know where to go.
The final opportunity to attend Parent Orientation is at 5pm in the MPR for those parent/guardians who have not been able to attend yet. You will learn important information about South Lake grading and assessment, South Lake Cares, technology and behavior, and how to stay engaged with your student in middle school. We will have translation support via a digital device that can connect to your cell phone - bring headphones as well.
For students enrolled in Bonus Period PE, we begin at 5:40pm...Coach Benner's class will be in the Media Center and Coach Doan's class in the Fitness Center. For all other students, we will begin at 6pm. Everyone attends your child's Homeroom class to kick off the evening at 6pm.
We ask that if you are able, to please walk or bike to South Lake, that would be helpful as the parking lot and surrounding areas to fill up...thank you!
Lastly, BTSN is for Parent/Guardians only - this is a great opportunity to meet your child's teachers and better understand what to expect in their class and over the school year. We hope to see you there!
