LIBRARY CATALOG

Log into Destiny to find relevant print and online materials. Use your IUSD login - no @iusd.org at the end of your username. 

DATABASES

IUSD students have access to several information databases such as Encyclopedia Britannica, ProQuest, Gale science, ABC-CLIO (social science), National Geographic for Kids, etc. South Lake students also have special access to BrainPOP.

 

Most of the information databases can be accessed from home via Canvas course links in the left sidebar. There are also IUSD.org bookmarks available to students automatically when they log into Google Chrome with their IUSD account or use their student Chromebooks.

There are several ways you can access e-books through a device (computer, tablet, phone) wherever you are!

Definition

District issued Chromebook and charging cable checked out to all students

All books checked out for school courses. For example, History, Science, Math, and Spanish I.

  • Library books (for independent reading)
  • Music books or scripts (from one of Mr. Grenier’s classes)
  • Read 180 books

How to pay a fine

Chromebook fines may be due to complete loss or damage to the device.

Pay in person at the front office (between 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) with cash or check only

 

              - OR -

 

Mail a check to:

South Lake Middle School

Attn: Library

Irvine, CA  92614

 

All checks for textbook fines should be made out to IUSD. Also, write the student’s name and school ID # on the check.
