Direct Donation Drive

Dear South Lake Families,

Welcome to the 2018 – 2019 school year! We are very fortunate here at South Lake to have a wonderful collaboration among our parents, teachers and administration and it is this commitment to excellence that earned us the honor of being one of the top rated middle schools in Orange County by the O.C. Register, in the past. We also understand the importance of a strong partnership with our volunteers and supportive community. It is what keeps and makes this school an excellent choice! Simply put, what we have here is special. It is the yearly renewed partnership between our school and community that maintains and builds our achievements and successes.

As you know, the California budget situation does not fully fund education. South Lake PTSA will try to continue to bridge the financial gap left by inadequate funding by providing for necessities as well as enrichment programs for our students through our two main fundraisers (this direct donation being one). We are confident that with your continued support we can overcome the challenges of budget shortfalls. To maintain these programs, we are asking you to consider a donation of $150. Donations of any size—whether large or small—mean a great deal to our school. Please keep in mind that the PTSA runs only two major fundraisers: the Direct Donation Drive in the fall and the Mile Challenge in the Spring.

You can also ask friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to help you reach this goal. Your employer may have an employee matching program for nonprofit organizations. The South Lake PTSA is a 501(3) tax-exempt organization so your contribution is tax deductible in accordance with Federal and State tax laws. Our tax ID # is 33-0618736.

The advisement class for 7th and 8th grades with the highest donation amount by October 3rd will earn a pizza/nugget party and all students who contribute by October 10th $150.00 or more will receive a lunch pizza party.  Thank you for supporting the South Lake PTSA and showing your commitment to a quality education for our children.
