South Lake Newsletter - August 8, 2022

Good Afternoon South Lake Families,

We are a little over a week away from the start of school and getting excited! As a reminder, there is no in person Registration at South Lake prior to the start of school. Families are required to complete the online steps as confirmation of attendance and to be ready for the start of the school year (see information about completing this below). In middle school, we stagger the start of the year for each grade level to ease the transition. Please note that only 7th grade attend on Thursday, August 18th and then all students attend on August 19th. Bonus Period PE will start on August 22nd for all students enrolled in the class. Refer to our Bell Schedule for the start and end times and to calendar minimum days.

We have a new roof, exterior paint and new landscaping. We look forward to sharing our newly renovated campus with you at Back to School Night.

We have some new staff on campus this year so please join me welcoming these amazing new Sharks to our South Lake Family. Edgar Espinoza is our new Lead Custodian. Nicole Jackson (School Psychologist), Hanna Nanson (Speech & Language Pathologist), and Juan Gil (Speech & Language Pathologist) are joining our Special Education Team. Juliette Tateri will be teaching English and Writer’s Workshop and Jessica Dinnocenzo will be teaching our Visual Arts classes…welcome to South Lake!
